Texting

I just saw on the news that a 18 year old boy/man was convicted of murder while texting in Massachusetts. It is sad that people have become so irresponsible that it has come to this. April 25, 2012 my uncle was killed by a college student that they believe was texting and driving. He still hasn't been arrested yet. I am beginning to believe that he is related to someone with some type of influence. My uncle was moving some furniture and a chair fell out of his truck. He pulled over and a state trooper blocked the lane with his car with the lights on. This kid plowed into them on a straight stretch of interstate so there is no excuse. My uncle was killed and the state trooper seriously injured. My aunt is devastated. Her husband was her everything. It is so heartbreaking. He was such a wonderful man and we had alot of fun every year at the Railroad Festival. This year is going to be hard. I hope my aunt can overcome her grief. It is so hard seeing someone you love so close to you and you can't do a thing about it. It has hit the entire family pretty hard.
Please remind everyone you know and love not to text and drive. Even talking on the phone isn't safe.

Sunday at the Movies

My youngest son and I went to the movies this morning and saw Snow White and the Huntsman. It was a pretty good movie. My hubby is in Tennessee with his family for awhile so I am trying to spend time with my son. He really misses his dad. The baseball game got cancelled yesterday so we had a free day to do nothing. It was pretty nice. Tomorrow I have the grandbabies through Thursday. I have a litter of kittens to get cleaned up and ready to take to the pet store Friday. I have been dreading giving them a bath. Nothing like an angry, wet clawing cat. lol

I'm Still Here

I didn't realize how long it has been since I blogged. We have been busy with baseball and grandbabies. It is almost time for allstars for baseball then it will be over until the fall. The babies are getting so big. The youngest is 6 months old now and moving. She keeps me very busy during the days. I have done a couple of swaps with the Swap It facebook group. I have gotten some flakers on other swaps so I think I will stick there. It is a good group of gals. Today's baseball game was cancelled because it rained last night. Now the sun is shining and I have a free day! My son is nagging to go to Gamestop, so I guess I will have to do that soon and maybe pick up some lunch. Thinking about going to the movies tomorrow, but not sure what to see. We already saw the Avengers. That was a good movie. We are thinking about seeing Snow White and the Huntsman tomorrow. Any ideas?

It's That Time of Year

The weather has been in the 70's and it is baseball season. My youngest started practice last week. He got a new coach and most of his team returned so hopefully it will be a good year. I have been busy with the my grandson and his little sister. The baby is getting so big. She is so happy and smiling. But they keep me so busy. I got a three day weekend this past weekend so I got a bunny made for an Easter swap that I am in. I even got out the clay to make some accessories. I have a ton of clay just begging to be used. lol
Well, the baby just woke up for lunch. Check in with you later.

Candle Sale and Checking In

So it has been awhile since I posted. I have been busy watching the kids. I have been working on some Valentine swaps. Had to get busy crafting again to save my sanity. It is almost baseball time again and I will be really crazy. lol Trying to start working on things now for the RR festival so it isn't so last minute. I need to order some wax to make some candles. I have my candles marked for clearance $5 each plus shipping for jelly jar candles. I want to change my labels and jars so I am trying to sell these. Please check them out at http://rosecreations.net.

Merry Christmas

I have been seriously slacking on blogging. The time has been flying by! I can't believe Christmas is already here. This Christmas has been really slim since hubby retired and still looking for work. The kids used to be so spoiled and now they only have a couple of presents, but hopefully they understand.
I have been crazy busy with the some holiday swaps and my daughter had her baby. I am watching both kids now and the baby is a handful. It has been a long time since I took care of a baby and my grandson is very clingy. I spend my days holding the baby and my grandson glued to my other side. lol I am not complaining. I miss the days when my kids needed and wanted to be around. Now they are grown and have there own things going on. My youngest is about to turn 12 and thinks he is 18. They grow up fast.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.

Wow, the time has flown by. I had joined the Pickled Pepper Patch's Secret Sister Swap. Every month, we sent our secret sister a package. The year is over and the secret is revealed. Thank you Natalie for the wonderful packages. I just received a lovely package today with a tin with yummy marshmallow cakes in them. Also she sent a wall hanging and pillow. Love them so much! This swap was alot of fun. It has been a busy time for everyone and surprise packages are always fun to receive!
