Life has really changed for me. I separated from my husband after 21 years. Reunited with my first love and have been together almost three years. I moved from Virginia to North Carolina. And I am loving the country life. R got me six chicks in April and now we have have 9 hens and 2 roosters. Chicken math. lol My youngest daughter has a daughter who is now 3 and a son who is 1. The only child living me with now is P and he isn't happy about it. He really misses his friends. But it is a much better environment here then it was in Portsmouth. The people are much nicer and alot less crime. Not sure if I am anyone is still around or if I am talking to myself. But I look forward to posting more and browsing the blogs.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-46624526460375382492013-08-17T14:51:00.000-04:002013-08-17T14:51:01.016-04:00It Has Been So LongI am still alive. It has been so long since I posted anything. This has been an hectic year. Lots of change. I separated from my husband after 22 years of marriage. It was a hard decision but I am so much happier. I had part of my stomach removed in April due to a growth (that turned out to be nothing) so I have lost alot of weight. I feel so much healthier and better. For the past ten years or so, I have felt like I had a huge black cloud over me and was so unhappy. Times are tough, but I feel like a new person. My 17 year daughter had a baby in April. That wasn't an easy situation but the baby is the sweetest girl every. I love her to death. My daughter had a rough time adjusting to being a mother but she is a good mommy. I am still watching my other two grandkids during the day while my other daughter works all the time so I am very busy.<br />
<br />
It is time to get ready for the Railroad Festival. It is hard to afford the things I need this year so I am going to concentrate on tarts and not candles. Now that I have a car and not a SUV, I don't have the space to transport them. I love candles, but it seems the tarts sell better. I rarely sell any dolls there, but I am still making them. I am going to get my website going if it is the last thing I do. lol I say that all the time and still haven't done it, but I hope to make a business of it. I also hope to do some local craft shows in the fall.<br />
<br />
I hope everyone is doing good and haven't abandoned me. The blogs seem to be really quiet lately.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-76782866820467714642012-08-10T10:00:00.000-04:002012-08-10T10:00:11.299-04:00Sewing Time<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This is what I have been working on. Getting things made for the Railroad Festival. I think I will add them to my website also. I am making prairie dolls using a pattern from Sweet Meadow Farms. I love here patterns. Just ordered another one to make with cats and pumpkins. I can't wait to do that one. Below is some finished stumpy prairie dolls that I made. I am working on the ones with legs now. Love how they turned out. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is what keeps me so busy. I watch my grandbabies Monday-Saturday. They are a handful. The baby is 9 months old and into everything. She discovered the piano yesterday and now will not leave it alone. Lots of noise. lol Her brother is almost 4. Sadly, he did not get into Pre-K in September. I will try to work with him here. There is a 100 kid waiting list in their city, so that will not be happening. And his dad is a deadbeat so my daughter can't afford to put him in a paid Pre-K. In a way, I am glad I get to spend another year with him every day. </div>

Today is my day off from watching the kids. Doesn't seem to happen often these days. Love them to death, but love to have time to myself. I love Christmas. My favorite holiday to craft. The swap was hosted by <a href="http://ravenwoodwhimzies.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Ravenwood Whimzies</a>. It was alot of fun. My partner was <a href="http://sewmanygirls.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Allison</a>. She sent me a wonderful package. Here is a pic of my goodies. Thanks Allison!<br />

It is so sad what happened in Colorado. I don't understand such evil. Just reminds you how precious life is. Sometimes I feel like I am going through the motions. That is sad when you think, it can all end tomorrow. The families and victims are in my prayers and thoughts.<br />
<br />
Now to the idiots. You may have read this store on Yahoo <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/couple-colo-theater-shooting-escape-baby-toddler-tow-162024554--abc-news-topstories.html">http://news.yahoo.com/couple-colo-theater-shooting-escape-baby-toddler-tow-162024554--abc-news-topstories.html</a>. First of all, they take small children to the movie theater at midnight. Then the chicken dad drops his four month old on the floor and jumps off the balcony, runs from the theater and drives away! With his fiancee, her daughter, and the baby in the theater that the shooting occured. He left them there! And he admits it in the media. What a moron! Hope she has a brain and dumps him!Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-22954936134744369942012-07-05T10:38:00.000-04:002012-07-05T10:38:37.376-04:00Another Hot OneIt will be another hot day of about 100 degrees today. My son has another all star game(hopefully not his last). His game on Monday was so embarrassing and bad. They lost 20-0. The team did not play good at all. I hope today will be better. We went to the movies yesterday and saw "The Amazing Spiderman." It was my favorite Spiderman movie yet. Not just a bunch of action, it actually had a plot. Alot of those movies are just loud. Saw the preview for "The Dark Knight Rises" and it looks awesome. Yes, you can tell I have a son who loves action movies. It is one way to stay cool. Going to try and get some crafting done this weekend. I am in a crafting slump. So many things I want to make but can't bring myself to even start. Once I get started, I know I will be fine. Stay cool!Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-47155682014138325392012-06-30T07:17:00.001-04:002012-06-30T07:17:58.409-04:00So Hot!It has been unbearable the past few days and today is going to be the same. All stars baseball starts today and it will be miserable. My son's first game is Monday but I am keeping score for the younger team and now I kicking myself for doing it. lol I want to stay inside all day in the AC and sew! Hope everyone is staying cool.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-1877982902331594232012-06-13T17:24:00.000-04:002012-06-13T17:24:00.787-04:00School's Out!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

My baby has graduated and on his way to middle school next year. I can't believe how time is flying by. He is the youngest of four and now he thinks he is grown. Now the fun starts with school out. I wonder how long it takes him to get bored.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-19232623818863394622012-06-09T20:40:00.001-04:002012-06-09T20:40:13.007-04:00It's A Hot One!Today was my son's last baseball game of the regular season and it was 90 degrees. That is the worst thing about summer is the heat. The humidity around here is terrible. When all stars starts, it will be even hotter. Went to the store afterwards and got his clothes for his elementary school graduation. What a hassle for a couple hours worth of clothes. lol Finally I told him, just deal with it, I am not going anywhere else. Geesh, he is so picky about his pants. I can't believe my baby will be in middle school next year. Time flies. His sister is going into 11th grade by the skin of her teeth, I hope.<br />
Well time to get busy crafting. I am finishing up a red, white, blue swap.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-39156417245777854522012-06-06T16:30:00.002-04:002012-06-06T16:30:59.772-04:00TextingI just saw on the news that a 18 year old boy/man was convicted of murder while texting in Massachusetts. It is sad that people have become so irresponsible that it has come to this. April 25, 2012 my uncle was killed by a college student that they believe was texting and driving. He still hasn't been arrested yet. I am beginning to believe that he is related to someone with some type of influence. My uncle was moving some furniture and a chair fell out of his truck. He pulled over and a state trooper blocked the lane with his car with the lights on. This kid plowed into them on a straight stretch of interstate so there is no excuse. My uncle was killed and the state trooper seriously injured. My aunt is devastated. Her husband was her everything. It is so heartbreaking. He was such a wonderful man and we had alot of fun every year at the Railroad Festival. This year is going to be hard. I hope my aunt can overcome her grief. It is so hard seeing someone you love so close to you and you can't do a thing about it. It has hit the entire family pretty hard.<br />
Please remind everyone you know and love not to text and drive. Even talking on the phone isn't safe.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-67804449601605726502012-06-03T21:23:00.002-04:002012-06-03T21:23:49.684-04:00Sunday at the MoviesMy youngest son and I went to the movies this morning and saw Snow White and the Huntsman. It was a pretty good movie. My hubby is in Tennessee with his family for awhile so I am trying to spend time with my son. He really misses his dad. The baseball game got cancelled yesterday so we had a free day to do nothing. It was pretty nice. Tomorrow I have the grandbabies through Thursday. I have a litter of kittens to get cleaned up and ready to take to the pet store Friday. I have been dreading giving them a bath. Nothing like an angry, wet clawing cat. lolTammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-20156836750030395502012-06-02T10:42:00.001-04:002012-06-02T10:42:11.022-04:00I'm Still HereI didn't realize how long it has been since I blogged. We have been busy with baseball and grandbabies. It is almost time for allstars for baseball then it will be over until the fall. The babies are getting so big. The youngest is 6 months old now and moving. She keeps me very busy during the days. I have done a couple of swaps with the Swap It facebook group. I have gotten some flakers on other swaps so I think I will stick there. It is a good group of gals. Today's baseball game was cancelled because it rained last night. Now the sun is shining and I have a free day! My son is nagging to go to Gamestop, so I guess I will have to do that soon and maybe pick up some lunch. Thinking about going to the movies tomorrow, but not sure what to see. We already saw the Avengers. That was a good movie. We are thinking about seeing Snow White and the Huntsman tomorrow. Any ideas?Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-7533625951684174722012-03-19T11:19:00.003-04:002012-03-19T11:26:26.091-04:00It's That Time of YearThe weather has been in the 70's and it is baseball season. My youngest started practice last week. He got a new coach and most of his team returned so hopefully it will be a good year. I have been busy with the my grandson and his little sister. The baby is getting so big. She is so happy and smiling. But they keep me so busy. I got a three day weekend this past weekend so I got a bunny made for an Easter swap that I am in. I even got out the clay to make some accessories. I have a ton of clay just begging to be used. lol <div>Well, the baby just woke up for lunch. Check in with you later.</div>Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-16626139421013207682012-01-25T22:48:00.002-05:002012-01-25T22:56:29.902-05:00Candle Sale and Checking InSo it has been awhile since I posted. I have been busy watching the kids. I have been working on some Valentine swaps. Had to get busy crafting again to save my sanity. It is almost baseball time again and I will be really crazy. lol Trying to start working on things now for the RR festival so it isn't so last minute. I need to order some wax to make some candles. I have my candles marked for clearance $5 each plus shipping for jelly jar candles. I want to change my labels and jars so I am trying to sell these. Please check them out at http://rosecreations.net.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-74717215543727460792011-12-25T04:39:00.000-05:002011-12-25T04:39:00.395-05:00Merry ChristmasI have been seriously slacking on blogging. The time has been flying by! I can't believe Christmas is already here. This Christmas has been really slim since hubby retired and still looking for work. The kids used to be so spoiled and now they only have a couple of presents, but hopefully they understand. <div>I have been crazy busy with the some holiday swaps and my daughter had her baby. I am watching both kids now and the baby is a handful. It has been a long time since I took care of a baby and my grandson is very clingy. I spend my days holding the baby and my grandson glued to my other side. lol I am not complaining. I miss the days when my kids needed and wanted to be around. Now they are grown and have there own things going on. My youngest is about to turn 12 and thinks he is 18. They grow up fast.</div><div>I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year.</div>Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-71925240586553043942011-12-24T16:35:00.002-05:002011-12-24T16:38:55.543-05:00Thank you Secret SisterWow, the time has flown by. I had joined the Pickled Pepper Patch's Secret Sister Swap. Every month, we sent our secret sister a package. The year is over and the secret is revealed. Thank you Natalie for the wonderful packages. I just received a lovely package today with a tin with yummy marshmallow cakes in them. Also she sent a wall hanging and pillow. Love them so much! This swap was alot of fun. It has been a busy time for everyone and surprise packages are always fun to receive!Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-23845003049825707172011-10-06T13:33:00.002-04:002011-10-06T13:39:06.906-04:00Railroad FestivalThe Railroad Festival is this weekend so we are heading to Appomattox tomorrow. The kids are excited. My youngest thinks he is such a salesman. lol Last year he wanted an Iron Man toy. I wanted what he wants out of it this year. I am afraid. lol I would love to take some pictures but my camera charger has not appeared. I ordered a new one, but it isn't here yet. That really stinks. Maybe my mom will take a camera. <div>The baby is taking a nap now and it is so quiet. Going to catch up on some tv!</div>Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-47683689075207478402011-09-27T12:48:00.002-04:002011-09-27T12:55:52.954-04:00Candle TimeI spent my weekend making tarts. I am out of jars so I have to wait until Monday for those. I have decided after the Railroad Festival, I am going to switch jars and labels. So there will be a huge candle clearance sale on my website. I finally got an inventory done over the weekend. Hopefully I can keep track of what I sell at the festival so I don't have to do that again! I will have my jelly jar candles on sale for $5 each November 1 on my website. It is time for that site to get moving . It has been long enough. I love making candles and want others to enjoy them as well. I was only going to try to make tarts for the festival but my aunt says people have been asking about the candles so I am going to make some more of those. I have quite a few already made. <div>I am finishing up some angels that I made from a pattern from Bittersweet Folkart. I love how they turned out. I usually don't sell many dolls there, but I will add them to my site if they don't sell. There is one woman who buys an Annie every year so I need to make a couple more of those. So many things to do and so little time!</div>Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-55938528119730089172011-09-17T09:51:00.002-04:002011-09-17T09:59:17.168-04:00Perfect WeatherWell the weather was 95 degrees one day and now it is in the 60's. Finally some cool fall weather. I love it. I am in the crafting mood. Which is good since the Railroad Festival is weeks away. Next weekend I am making tarts. It has been too hot to make them. Today I am going to pull out my stuff and see what I need. I don't remember where I put the clamshell containers so I hope I find them. <div>I am just finished the dolls below. I wish I could show you the ones I made but I can't find my camera charger! Guess I will have to find another one on ebay. The pattern is from Threadbare Primitives. I think mine came out pretty close to hers. Susan has the best patterns. Her link is </div><div><a href="http://www.threadbareprimitives.com/">http://www.threadbareprimitives.com/</a>. </div><div><img src="http://www.threadbareprimitives.com/img/xspumpkinpeople.gif" alt="Primitive Witch Doll Pattern" /></div><div>Now off to do some sewing. Have a wonderful day!</div>Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-39428385738191251332011-09-11T00:51:00.002-04:002011-09-11T00:54:43.354-04:00God Bless AmericaI can't believe it has been 10 years since that horrible day. I remember everything that happened like it was yesterday. I used to take our freedom and life for granted, but that day changed everything for me. Life can be taken away in a second without warning so I am going to try and enjoy it as much as I can. I am grateful for my four healthy children, wonderful grandson, my parents, and my future granddaughter. Times may be hard financially, but I still have my family. Cherish every moment.Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-27885951417306710742011-09-10T10:00:00.000-04:002011-09-10T10:00:03.700-04:00SwapsWhere have all the good handmade swaps gone? I guess everyone is busy with other things. I used to join all swaps, but now prefer the handmade ones. I love getting that sewing machine out and making for others. Looking for new patterns and meeting new friends.<div><br /></div><div>I am getting ready to make some tarts. What are your favorite scents? There are so many things I want to make. I bought a pumpkin pattern last year that I really want to make. I can't buy as much now since hubby is retired. So I am going to get out that Halloween and fall patterns and get busy. I did buy some patterns from Threadbare Primitives. They are a little different than I am used to but they look like fun! What are you working on?Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-72076945353096320392011-09-07T10:32:00.002-04:002011-09-07T10:37:15.442-04:00School Has Started!Yipee, I know that sounds bad. lol But I am so ready for the summer to be over. Now if we can get fall weather. My youngest started 6th grade. His last year in elementary school. That makes me sad. His older sister is in 10th grade this. I am so grateful she passed 9th grade. lol She said she is going to try and get better grades this year. I really hope so. Of course, the school drama has already started. I am still watching my grandson and having a blast with him. My oldest daughter is having a girl due in November. I will be watching that one also. So I better get some crafting done before then. I have been having such a hard time to get in the crafting mood. But once I start, I don't want to stop. My daughter is off from work Thursday and Friday and the weekend my grandson will be with his dad. I plan on making my tarts for the Railroad Festival. I swear I am going to get that website going. lol It has been sitting there empty for over a year. Going to surf some blogs to get myself motivated!Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1006621796975190196.post-58784323930492902362011-08-26T15:12:00.002-04:002011-08-26T15:23:13.713-04:00Oh Irene.The sun is shining and it is so hot and calm. But the grocery store is another matter! lol I make my grocery trips on Friday and this one happened to coincide with Hurricane Irene. The shelves are empty. Good thing I have a ton of candles! We haven't had a major hurricane since Isabel and we were two weeks without power for that one. I hope we keep power. We haven't been told to evacuate yet but I am sure that is coming soon. I need to round up all my outside cats and get them inside. They will love that! Hope everyone on the east coast is ready and stay safe!Tammyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01380215595235977817noreply@blogger.com1
